The Sandbox Effect

The Sandbox theory is a phenomenon introduced by the Big G (Google) which is often referred to as Sandbox effect. The Google Sandbox is therefore seen as a frustrating and discouraging predictability by webmasters. According to many people the Sandbox is a kind of penalty that did not allow new web sites to rank well in the search results of Google, even not for the least competitive phrases or keywords and irrespective of a high page rank and good link popularity. Even if your site is better than your competitors it will still be in the Sandbox for a certain amount of time. Often new websites can find themselves in the ?Sandbox? for 6-9 months, during which traffic to the site is severely restricted. This time vary from web site to web site. This also depends on how competitive your new web site's market and keywords are.

Google uses the sandbox filter in order to discourage the web site owners those who use SEO Spam techniques to get a high rank fast. They usually do this to get more and more number of inbounds to increase their link popularity as Google uses link popularity as its criteria to rank web sites in its search engine.

There is no such way to know whether a new web site is in the Sandbox or not, but the only way to determine the status of your site Sandbox is if your web site has enough of quality inbounds, rich and quality content and a good ranking in other search engines, such as Yahoo and MSN, but still no where in Google serps for your keywords then this clearly means that your site has been put into Google sandbox. There in no such concept called Yahoo Sandbox as Yahoo and other search engines does not have such filters.
